Looming Hostel is a non-profit organisation. “Looming” in Estonian means “creation” – that is why everything is in constant change here!

Hostel is run by an Estonian couple. Looming offers new artistic style of accommodation in Tartu – cosy, warm and clean guestrooms are all created by different artists – everything we use for decoration is 99 % reused! We prefer natural materials, small ecological footprint, creativity and fun!

There is a kitchen for self catering with all the necessary equipment, free WiFi everywhere, free parking, large common room with hammocks, sofas, computer, books and games.

Showers are now located on the same floor as the hostel!

“Looming” is part of Young Estonian Creativity Center – it is situated on the attic floor of the building at Kastani street 38.

Here you can see and visit different workshops, events, fairs and festivals – it depends on the time of the week or season. There are a Printing Museum/workshop, Paper museum/workshop downstairs, graphic designers, taylors and fashiondesigners and many other workshops in the same building!

If you cannot arrive during our opening hours, let us know and we’ll make sure that there is someone waiting for you! Or you can just come here any time, have fun and relax in our large common room!

Don’t worry, at Looming Hostel there is no curfew! As soon as you arrive here, you’ll receive an electronic key card that opens the front door of the building.
